Why We Like The Packtowl Luxe Towel
Unlike most camping towels, Packtowl's Luxe Towel feels as soft as our cotton towels back home. This towel dries 30 percent faster than cotton, takes up less space than cotton, and absorbs five times its weight in water. Silver-ion treatment is added for odor resistance.

Amazing! After years of using a more compact version, I treated myself with this. I can finally dry my whole body and hair (and I’m a very tall guy) and the towel still feels like it could soak in more. It’s three times the volume of my compact one, but I’m ready to accept that because it’s five times better. Plus, it’s so smooth. Also saved my day! Feminine colleagues got into the wrong locker at the office’s gym on their first day. Thankfully, this towel was big enough to wrap around my waist.

It’s a towel
I just wanted something to throw in the back of my truck that was quick drying, durable, and big enough to share if I absolutely had to. The full sized Luxe seems to check all those boxes. I have other more packable towels for backpacking and river trips. This one is far more absorbent and feels better on my skin. Good towel, would recommend.

Solid!
It's been great! Absorbs a bit better than the normal microfiber, and the size increase isn't too bad for the extra plushness and absorption

Not what I thought
This is not the lightweight, super compact, quick drying towel I thought it was.

Don't use it on grass!!
I got the beach size and it's a great size for laying down on while still packing up tiny into the provided pouch. I used it at the park which had pretty dried-up grass, and unfortunately the microfiber material picked up all the tiny twigs and grass stems and they didn't shake out. I washed and dried it several times and even went over it with a rubber pet brush, but it's still got little bits all over it. so be warned, this would probably be a great towel for indoors or the beach, but I wouldn't use it for grassy areas or camping.

Made very well, good technology.
Made very well, good technology. Efficient - you can use one for about a week for a bath towel, plus they take less energy to wash/dry.

Disappointed by durability. Purchased these
Disappointed by durability. Purchased these very recently and after only one wash, there is a problem with the seams (see pictures). Otherwise soft, light and great absorption.

so-so
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
positives are that the Packtowl Luxe Towel is good size and absorbs ok. It's an average towel in terms of absorption and drying. The best thing about the towel is the included zippered storage pouch, which I use for other things so the only reason I'm giving two stars, which doesn't speak much for the towel itself. The hanging loop snap is weak and comes undone too easily, so the loop is unusable unless you want to find the towel on the ground/floor all the time. The towel has pile on one side and the other side is smooth, which is disaapointing if you are expecting "cotton-like" pile on both sides. The towel clings to wet skin regardless of the pile side or smooth side, so it is still irritating to try and dry off rubbing the towel along your body. This is made worse by the stretchiness of the towel. The elasticity of the towel is the worst feature of this towel. When you try to dry your back, the towel basically curls into a rope and you don't get the surface area to rub nicely against your back when trying to dry. You need to pull the towel tought so the towel actually will rub along your wet skin.
